It all started when Felix and Bene met during sports-climbing sessions. We quickly realized that we were most engaged and pushed ourselves hardest when we challenged each other. It was always the same competition: one of us would do a climb that the other couldn’t and that sparked a fire to train harder and come back stronger the next time. The fact that our climbing partner was better made us more determined, driving us to our limits.
Over countless brainstorming sessions, plenty of workouts, and a few beer, the idea took shape: why not create a platform where you could send each other fitness challenges?
That’s how Lauchbruder was born — an app that not only enables competitive challenges but also introduces a scoring system to reward progress and measure achievements.
The first prototype was practically built in the garage next door. Our lead developer stuck with us long enough to truly understand what we wanted, and with this early version, we managed to impress not only our friends but also a wider audience. With the support of our business angels and their strategic expertise, Lauchbruder grew into something bigger — a social-fitness plattform under the umbrella of Devtree Concepts GmbH, paving the way for many more innovative ideas.
